Book Two?

Good morning!
Since I've had a few people ask me about the status of the infamous "book two", I figured I would share a general update. Firstly, the bad news; A Clockwork Requiem will likely not be finished this year. I had made good progress on it, and initially I had toyed with the idea of releasing it later this year... but ultimately, I do not want to rush this book. I would rather take a bit longer to write something I'm proud of, and if that means publishing in 2026 instead of 2025, so be it. You as the reader also deserve a book that doesn't feel rushed!
(I also have to account for the fact that my editor, graphic designer, and cover artist are just me wearing different hats, and that they also need time to get everything sorted out.)
That said, I do think that 2026 is realistic, and hopefully I can tease a more concrete release date soon. In the meantime, I have a wee snippet of the front cover art to share with you:

That's all I can share with you for now -- as much as I would love to share the whole WIP, the symbolism I've planned for the cover, and all the things that have me so very excited about this sequel... I should probably leave some things to the imagination for now.
All my love,
JP
